We have the pleasure to invite you to the 7th International Conference on Materials Science and Technologies – RoMat 2018 which will be held in Bucharest (Romania) from November 15th to November 18th , 2018.
The conference continue the tradition of successful conferences organized every two years by the Faculty Materials Science and Engineering from University Politehnica of Bucharest with the support of national and international scientific community on materials science and engineering. The conference will include plenary keynotes and invited lectures, as well as oral and poster presentations. Keynotes and invited plenary speakers from all over the world will present their latest research into the field.
Also, a Young Scientist Forum on Materials Engineering (YSF-ME) will run during the conference. The YSF-MSE is an event, aimed at discussing Materials Science and Engineering education and training in Europe, emphasizing the existing and emerging career, as well as research opportunities in the field. The main goal is to promote interactions between young scientists in the pre-doctoral and early post-doctoral stages.
RoMAT 2018 is an opportunity for the worldwide materials science and engineering community to share their recent achievements and to provide a forum for academic scientists and industrial researchers to meet and exchange valuable experiences. We look forward to see you all in Bucharest! Yours sincerely,
Iulian Antoniac Conference President

Call for Papers
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are invited and should be submitted using the online abstract submission system. Before submit the abstract, you need to register first (using Registration Form).
All abstracts will be refereed and a criterion of rejection will be lack of originality. Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt. A condition of submission is that if accepted one of the authors will present at the conference. Authors must follow the instructions for abstract(s) submission using the conference website tools. Intending author should submit an abstract of no more than 150 words. The abstracts will be published in the conference program. Each presenting author can submit a maximum of two abstracts, but can be co-authors for an unlimited number of abstracts. All accepted full papers will be published by the “The Scientific Bulletin” Series B Chemistry and Materials Science, edited by University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, an ISI indexed journal. Also, the Scientific Committee will select representative papers to be published in some special issues for ISI indexed journals like Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology, BioMed Research International, Nanomaterials. All details about the paper selection criteria will be available on the conference website.
Young Scientist Forum (YSF-RO)
The YSF-ME is an event, aimed at discussing Materials Engineering education and training in Europe, emphasizing the existing and emerging career, as well as research oppor-tunities in the field. The main goal is to promote interactions between young scientists in the pre-doctoral and early post-doctoral stages. YSF-ME events discussion is fostered by creating an interactive environment amongst partici-pants, thus promoting an enriching discussion on topics that concern everyone who graduated, or will do so, in Materials Engineering. During the YSF-ME session the participants will have a possi-bility to present their work as rapid-fire presentations (3-4 min) and as posters. Poster sessions and social events will provide opportunities for informal discussions. We there-fore especially encourage scientists at the beginning of their academic career to submit contributions for YSF-ME.
